  • Griefing is the action of destroying someone else’s things (even if you are trusted), which may include:
  • Tearing down a build/building that isn’t yours.
  • Braking into a build/building that isn’t yours.

  • Picking up items that someone dropped unless they gave them to you.
  • Taking items from any server structure.

Do not hack or exploit glitches.

  • Hacking is changing how data is sent between the server and the client or using that data in a way not intended by the game. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • X-ray mods, x-ray texture packs, and ore finders.
  • Fly/Speed hacks.
  • Inventory/Item hacks.
  • Spam/Login hacks.
  • Client hacks.

  • Duplication/Infinite item glitches.
  • Logout glitches.
  • AFK kicker avoidance.

  • Intentionally causing suffocation or drowning.
  • Luring mobs to kill other players.
  • Tricking players into harming themselves (i.e. renamed poison potions)

Respect the staff and follow all staff instructions.

  • Every staff member worked hard to become part of the OhanaCraft Staff Family. They are here to help keep OhanaCraft a safe and fun place for everyone. If a staff member tells you to stop doing something, DO NOT ARGUE. Simply do as they say and allow all players to continue enjoying the server.
  • The OhanaCraft Staff are unpaid volunteers that play on the server, too. Sometimes the Staff can get busy and have schedules to keep both in and out of game. If you have an issue that cannot be resolved easily in global chat by on-duty Staff or other players, please use /ticket to explain your problem clearly and concisely (example: /ticket Bob101 picked up my items when I accidentally dropped them can you please get them back?). Tickets are not for immediate help but are for higher level staff to handle when they get online next. Do not abuse or spam the ticket system.

No staff impersonation.

  • Staff impersonation is not allowed. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Using a name that is similar to a staff members username.
  • Using a staff members skin without permission.
  • Claiming to be staff.

No Bullying.

  • OhanaCraft is a special place. There is zero tolerance against bullying. Being mean to other players is not acceptable. Players come to Ohanacraft and are accepted for who they are and are treated as a friend. Do not insult another player by calling names, harassing or being cruel. You will not be welcome here and find yourself banned.

Becoming Staff.

  • Becoming a Staff Member is a magical experience. If you are kind, helpful and abide by the OhanaCraft rules, you may be offered the chance to become staff.
  • Do not ask to be Staff. This will only hurt your chances.

Chat Rules

  • No rude, vulgar, or inappropriate/adult language. These words and topics have no place on Ohanacraft and their use results in an immediate permanent ban.
  • Ohanacraft uses only English in all chats including but not limited to: signs, books, chat, messages, mail, and in discord. Other languages are not allowed.
  • Do not swear or use vulgar language in any chat.
  • Do not put any rude or vulgar language on signs or build them out of blocks.
  • Do not use or refer to topics of conversation that are inappropriate for young children.

Do not advertise other servers, realms, websites, YouTube channels, or games.

  • OhanaCraft cannot be responsible for content on other sites, servers, YouTube or games. As a Family Friendly Community, we don’t want players directing other players to potentially offensive or dangerous websites and servers. This includes advertising other servers or websites (even “fake” websites) in-game as well as on other OhanaCraft social media and the OhanaCraft website. Staff reserve the right to immediately ban anyone caught advertising on any OhanaCraft services.

Do not spam.

  • Spam includes but is not limited to:
  • Repeating the same letter, symbol, phrase, or message multiple times (no more than 3 times in a row).

  • Do not build within 20 blocks of player builds, or 100 blocks from villages and towns.
  • Do not build offensive or vulgar symbols.
  • Do not create auto redstone or mob farms which may cause excessive lag.
  • Do not have more than 10 mobs/entities per chunk. This includes item frames, armor stands, animals, pets, and heads.
  • Do not build player hazards.
  • You will be provided with a book on how to claim land when connecting to the server for the first time. If you lose the book or do not know how to claim land, ask any staff member for help.
  • On the Survival Server you will star with 100 claim blocks. You’ll earn more as you play and can expand your plot or claim new ones.
  • If you build outside of claimed land, you do so at your own risk. Staff are not obligated to repair any grief done on unprotected land.
  • Keep your builds within the size of your claim and only trust people you actually trust.
  • You can expand your claims or claim new areas by using a Gold Shovel. To do this, right click one corner of your land. Then right click with the shovel on the diagonal corner to set the claim size.
  • To resize an existing claim, right click one of the existing corners with your gold shovel and then right click again where you want the size of your new claim to be.
  • Use a stick to see your current claim.
  • Player hazards include but are not limited to:
  • Exposed lava or fire that is not obvious or clearly marked, or presents a serious player hazard.
  • Large/deep pits without warning or protection
  • Lift signs that lead to long drops

Player Rights

  • You have the right to enjoy Minecraft without being harassed by anyone, Staff or Players.

Ban Appeals

  • You have the right to appeal any ban on the website
  • Be polite, and apologize when appropriate and you may be allowed back on the server.
  • Submitting a ban appeal on the website is the ONLY way to get unbanned.
  • Posting a comment on the OhanaCraft YouTube, or having a friend ask in chat will only hurt your chances of getting unbanned.
  • There is a policy in place. Following that policy is the only chance you have to be possibly unbanned.

Reporting behavior and rules violations.

  • You have the right to report poor behavior and rules violations of any player or staff.
  • Report any rules being broken to the staff immediately. Use /msg to any of the staff to report it. If no staff are online, you may use /report and a staff will get to it as soon as possible.
  • If you have a problem with a staff member, report it to a Paladin or Co-owner using /mail.

OhanaCraft is about family friendly fun and community. The whole point of being here is to have fun, work together, play together and treat each other with respect. OhanaCraft truly is world apart from the rest.
